Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 3, 2026
1. Introduction
CounterMeasure, Inc. ("CounterMeasure," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you visit our website at countermeasuresec.com (the "Site") or interact with our services.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide: When you fill out a contact form, request a demo, or download a datasheet for the first time, we collect your name, work email address, and company name. You may optionally provide a message. We do not keep any of this in your browser — we record only that a form was completed in this browser session, so repeat datasheet downloads don’t ask you again.
Information collected automatically: We collect anonymous, aggregate page view statistics through Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless, no personal data). Standard web server logs may include your IP address, browser type, and referring URL.
Information we derive when you contact us: When you submit a form, we record the page you submitted from, the page that referred you, and any campaign parameters in the link you followed. We also record approximate location (country) and network information (autonomous system number and operator) derived from your IP address, associated with your submission. We check public records for your email domain — its mail provider, from DNS records, and its registration date, from the public domain registry — to help us understand which organization is contacting us. The notification also notes whether the company name you gave matches your email domain, and how many other people from that same domain have contacted us before. We do not record your city, region, postal code, or coordinates. Your IP address is used only to limit how often the form can be submitted, and is not included in the notification or stored alongside your enquiry. This happens on our servers; it uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Respond to your inquiries and provide requested information
- Understand which organization is contacting us, so we can respond appropriately
- Secure the site and prevent abuse of our forms
- Deliver datasheets and resources you request
- Improve and optimize our website
- Communicate with you about our products and services (only with your consent)
- Comply with legal obligations
4. Information sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with trusted service providers who assist us in operating our website and delivering our services (such as email delivery providers). These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.
5. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
6. Data retention
We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with our legal obligations, and resolve disputes.
7. Browser storage and analytics
Browser storage: We do not use cookies. We use your browser’s local and session storage for two essential flags only: that you have acknowledged this privacy notice, and that you completed a contact form in this browser session so repeat datasheet downloads don’t ask again. No personal information is stored in your browser. You can clear this data at any time through your browser settings.
Analytics: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics service that collects anonymous, aggregate page view statistics. It does not use cookies, does not store data on your device, does not track you across websites, and does not collect personal information.
No tracking: We do not use advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking technologies of any kind.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent for optional data processing
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@countermeasuresec.com.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
